He was predeceased by: his parents, Delph Powell Arnold, Sr. and Sallie Bruce Arnold; his wife Shirley King Arnold; his daughter Linda Dee Arnold Hook; his son-in-law William Hook; and his granddaughters, Carly Anderson and Amy Hook.
He is survived by: his children, Sherie Conner (Dennis) of Fort Mill, David Arnold (Jennifer) of Lexington, Liz Metz of Columbia, Lydia Frierson (Allen) of Chapin, Sam Arnold (Dorothy) of Leesville, Taber Arnold (Ashley) of Lexington, Malcolm Arnold (Amy) of West Columbia and Sallie Syracuse (Myer) of Chapin. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
