He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thomas Lucas and Minnie Viola Shivers Lucas; his siblings, Benjamin Shivers Sr., Lloyd Lucas, Javan Lucas, Herman Lucas, Cecil Lucas, Elaine Lucas Helms, Juanita Lucas Weavil of James Henry, Lucas and Wayne Lucas; and his daughter-in-law Judy Kayton Lucas.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Stedman Lucas; his sons, Charles "Darry" Lucas (Kelly), John Lucas (Windy) and Matthew Lucas (Amanda); his grandchildren, Alexis Godwin (Matthew), Brooke Jones (Luke), Savannah Carter (John), Colton Lucas and Caroline Lucas; his great grandchild Jacob Godwin; and his siblings-in-law, Jodi Lucas, Ruth Stedman Welborn (Larry) and Ray Stedman (Liz). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Oakwood Baptist Church Youth Fund.
