With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Major Lee Freeman of Wellford, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Freeman and Betty Taylor; and his siblings, Margie Nesbitt and Nathaniel Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Freeman; his children, Major Owens (Chenita) and Vonda K. Freeman; his stepdaughters, Rosalyn Stevens and Catina Freeman (Robin); his grandchildren, Aprile Rogers, Stony Freeman, Jorronie Freeman, Kendall Freeman, Teja Mills (Kevin), Veronica Freeman, Montoya Freeman, Deunta Bree Stafford (Jahmil) and Christian Bowden; and his siblings, Doris Drummond, Mary Linsey and Thomas Freeman.
A reception was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory (529 Spartanburg Hwy, Wellford, SC 29385).
