He is survived by: his daughter Dena Sims (Jeff); his grandchildren, Whitney Dodd, Cody Sims, Will Sims (Hannah) and Justin Sims (Katelind); his great grandchildren, Paxton Walker and Dawson Plumley; and his brothers, Dupree Melton (Barbara) and Jimmy Melton (Pat).
