He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Vivian T. Chestnut; his daughter Veronica M. Chestnut (Rodney); his parents, Joseph Chestnut Sr. and Mabel McLeod Chestnut; his grandchild Taylor Noble Chestnut-Sherman; his siblings, Mildred C. Wells (Elias), Helen C. Richardson, Mary Ruth Chestnut, Thomasena C. Wheeler (David), Rebecca Hunt, Daphne Chestnut, Joseph Chestnut, Jr. and Alphonso Chestnut; his aunts and uncles, Martha Davis McBride, Dorothy McLeod Myers, Lillian Williams (Isaac), Lillian White, Elease James, Bessie T. James, Harry McLeod, Abraham McLeod, LeRoy McLeod (Hattie Mae), Samuel White (Hazelree), Jacob McLeod and Herbert James; and his cousin Hattie Mae Brown. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home from 4:00 until 7:00 p. m., 5765 Opal Lane, Wedgefield.
