He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ervin Hardin, Sr. and Alice Thelma Branhan Hardin; and his brother David Ervin Hardin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jean Alsbrooks Hardin; his children, Samuel Lee Hardin, Jr. (Lisa) of Pinewood, Wesley Hardin of Wedgefield, SC, Angela Hardin McCabe (Artis) of Sumter and Cynthia O'Connell (Michael) of Sumter; his siblings, James Thomas Hardin (Sharon) of Fayetteville, NC and Alice Geddings of Sumter; his grandchildren, Daniel (Sarah), Tianna (Jamie), Jake (Lacy), Spencer, Samantha, Caleb, Noah, Jacob, Lucas, Adrian, Scarlette, Breena, MacKayla and John; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Henry, James, Emmie, Miles, Julian, Jethro and Cullen.
