He was predeceased by: his parent Austin Birch; and his siblings, Fred Birch, Joe Birch and Betty McElveen. He is survived by: his spouse Susan Rose Robertson Birch; his parent Lillie Mae Cox Birch; his children, David Birch (Sherri) of Campobello, Dina Birch of Roebuck and Tony Birch (Michelle) of Fort Mill; his stepson John Coker of Fork Shoals; his siblings, Donald Birch (Linda) of Roebuck and Frances Lynch (John) of Boiling Springs; his grandchildren, Meagan Birch of Campobello and Kelby Bond (Caiti); and his great grandchild Ellie Reese Bond of Moore.
