He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Bennett Downey and Oliver Jackson Downey, Sr.; and his siblings, Jofey Downey, Doris Bullman, Louise Horne and Kathy Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Thompson Downey; his children, Brent Downey (Jan) and Amy Downey (Cindy); his grandchildren, Grace Downey (Josh) and Jackson Downey; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Hadley; his siblings, Ronnie Bullman (Susan), John Bullman and Libby Thornton (Chuck); and his brother-in-law David Thompson (Sue).
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Waterloo United Methodist Church (138 Rocking C Ranch Dr, Waterloo, SC 29384).
