He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Turner and Agnes Tucker Akins; and his brothers, Kenneth and Larry Akins. He is survived by: his son James Dylan Timms of Hodges; his sisters, Patricia Ellison (Clyde) of Greenwood and Debra Gravley (Mike) of Greenwood; his grandson Alic Elijah Timms; and his close friends, Jerry and Bridgett Grey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
