He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Kennemore Nix; his parents, James Edward Nix, Sr. and Jimmie Roberts Nix; his son James E. Nix, III (Wendy) of Waterloo; and his grandchildren, Brooke Abercrombie of Waterloo and Emily Abercrombie of Waterloo.
