He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Kookie" Filyaw; his grandson Cameron Mitchell; his brothers, Ernest Filyaw of Warrenville, SC and Douglas Filyaw of Warrenville, SC; and his nephews, Darren, Todd and Jakob Hollowell. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
