He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. McBrayer and Mabel Ruth Champion McBrayer; his son James Cecil "Bo Gator" McBrayer, Jr.; and his siblings, Carolyn Moore and Michael E. McBrayer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Bennett McBrayer; his children, Robert B. McBrayer, Jr. and Brandi Jean Jones; his siblings, Randall McBrayer, Johnny McBrayer, Billy McBrayer, Wayne McBrayer and Bobbie Jo Frey; and his grandchildren, James Cameron McBrayer, Devin Tyler McBrayer, Kenzie Cheyenne McBrayer and Ella Logan McBrayer.
