He is survived by: his children, Samantha Hiers and Geddings Gerald Beard, Jr.; his siblings, Brian Beard (Karen) and Cindy Shealy (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Breanna Cochran (Ricky), Cody Ellis, Zachery Ellis and Geddings Mason Beard; his great grandchild Isaac Morris; and his close friends, Barbara, Tom Adcock, Mickey Woodruff, John Norris, Marvin Oxendine and Leanne Rowe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In consideration of the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the current pandemic, facial coverings and CDC practices of social distancing are encouraged for the visitation and funeral service.
