She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel DePalma; her son Harley "David" Rutledge; her parents, Luerline Tipton and Lawrence Tipton; and her sister Donna Settles.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Gordy (Diana) and Candace Kelly (Tim); her daughter-in-law Mandy Rutledge; her children, Angel Edwards (Chris), Katy DePalma and Elizabeth Spires; and her siblings, Lawrence "Buddy" Tipton (Edie), Kenny Tipton (Donna Jane), Bonita Happe (Jim), Kathy Holderman and Dotti Schultheis Russell (John). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
