It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Bird of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, born in Independence, Missouri, who passed away on July 23, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Bird and Elimina Micheal Bird; his daughters, Patricia Marie Bird and Rodlyn Sue Brown; and his siblings, Claud Bird, Everett Bird, Judy Shiflet and Pauline Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Ouzts Bird of Ware Street; his daughter Connie Hall of Jacksonville, FL; and his sister Wanda Locke of Portland, OR. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, or to the charity of one's choice.
