He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Ashley and Sudie Ashley (late Glendell Ashley); and his son Rodney Wilson Ashley. He is survived by: his son Robert Ashley; his stepdaughter Laurie Wood (Chris); his grandchildren, CJ Ashley, Bree Ashley, John Preston Wood and Maggie Wood; and his nephew Barry Ashley, Jr..
