He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Preston and Mary Louise Boland Mattison; and his stepson Michael Lysle. He is survived by: his daughters, Melodie Woods (John) of Ware Shoals and Tammy Posey (Dennis) of Anderson; his stepchildren, James Lysle of Idaho and Barbara Jo Robinson (Mac) of Ohio; his siblings, Melvin Mattison (Mary Lou) of West Virginia, Billy Mattison (Judy) of Georgia, Lillie Anne Hughes (Carroll) of Honea Path and June Cathcart (Paul) of Ware Shoals; and his grandchildren, Tania Fain (Andy), Candace Posy (Adam) and Anthony Posey (Brandi).
