She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Bradford Smithey; her parents, James Roy and Rosa Lee Cornwell Haynes; and her sisters, Jimmie Rose Carver and Paula Moulton.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Smithey of Ware Shoals, Alan Smithey of San Diego, CA and Rita Page (Johnny) of Abbeville; her siblings, James Roy "Buddy" Haynes, Jr. (Karen), Johnny Haynes and Nell Lackey; her grandchildren, Patricia MacMurphy, Claire Smithey, Emma Page and Gracie Smithey; her great grandchild Camden Lee MacMurphy; and her great-niece Tracy McKee.
