She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Counts; her parents, John Bruce and Hillian Ramsey Lawton; her daughter Joann Richardson; and her siblings, Wade Lawton, Franklin Lawton, Dub Lawton, Mary Stowers, Ione Cook and Essie Madden.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gordon Lawton of Naples, FL and Johnnye King of Belton; and her grandchildren, Jerry Richardson of Boiling Springs and Jackie Guxton of Spartanburg. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
