He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur T. "Bill" Bishop and Inez Jones Bishop. He is survived by: his wife Sue Walters Bishop; his children, Cathy Dority (Joseph) of Ware Shoals, Sheri Fricks (Dale) of Greenwood and Scott Bishop of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Emily of Greenwood, Justin (Allie) of Greenwood, William Fricks of Greenwood, Jack, Ben and Luke Dority of Ware Shoals; his great grandchildren, Addy Grace and Carter Fricks; his cousin Patsy Arnold (Ed) of Ware Shoals; and his grandsons, Taylor, Zac and Louie.
