He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Nelson and Ora Nelle McKee Nelson; and his grandsons, Chandler Wood and Reid Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Robby Nelson (Amy) of Ware Shoals, James Nelson (Heather) of Ware Shoals, Donnie Nelson (Tiffany) of Wahalla and Dwan Oliver (Lucas) of Salem; his stepson Chad Covan of Ware Shoals; and his siblings, Dave Nelson of McCormick and Susan Morgan of Callison. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
