With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Nelson of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, born in Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 11, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Dewey Nelson; her parents, Grover A. Prince and Janie Hill Prince; her children, Jimmy Nelson and Linda Cobb; and her siblings, Brown, Jim, Bill, Robert Prince, Gladys Gambrell, Marie Gambrell, Ethel Smith, Sara Gambrell and Ida Mae McCoy.
She is survived by: her children, Rayford Nelson (Judy) of Ware Shoals, Ray McCoy of Greenwood and Nikki Sharpe (Andrew) of Ware Shoals; and her grandchildren, Shannon Pressley, Eddie McCoy, Christie Hyder, Hayden Sharpe and Kayne Sharpe. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
