She was predeceased by: her parents, George Newman and Josie Ward Newman; her husband Robert Lewis "R. L."; and her daughter-in-law Kathy "Kat" Gillian. She is survived by: her children, Robert Lewis Gillian, Jr. (Susan Bowen) of Ward, Josie Fraley (Barry) of Johnston and Hammie Nix (Don Robertson) of Leesville; and her grandchildren, Christopher James Gillian (Heather), Kimbley Meachell Hartley (Brian), Tonia Louise Dillon (Virgil), Stephanie Tracey Knox, Daniel Robert Fraley, Amber Lynn Farmer (Bruce) and Matthew Nix (Heather). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richland Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
