He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thurmond and Sadie Lee Stidham Miller; and his wife Carolyn Clanis Hudson Miller. He is survived by: his sons, James Thurmond Miller (Cathie) of Ward and William Paul "Bill" Miller (Stephanie) of Irmo; his sister Trudith M. Wolfe; and his grandchildren, Monica Johnson (Brian), James "Buddy" Miller (Amber), Caleb Miller (Kate), Joseph Miller, Kristina McCubbins (Devin) and Connor Allen Miller. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
