He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. William James Pierce and Mary Mills Pierce; and his siblings, Ella Pierce Gaskins, Anna Pierce Williams, Cora Lee Pierce Williams and James Woodrow Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Miller Pierce; his children, George M. Pierce, II (Teresa) of Lexington, William Kelly Pierce (Elizabeth) of Bluffton and Karen Pierce Chapman (Ken) of Prosperity; his stepson Brenton Dwight Gilliland (Melissa) of Ward; his siblings, Lewis K. Pierce of Cordesville, William Aiken Pierce (Shirley) of Bonneau, Cecil Dwight Pierce (Pat) of Bonneau, Pearlie Pierce Litchfield of Moncks Corner, Mary Pierce Matthews (Jack) of Moncks Corner and Alberta Pierce Johns of Bonneau; and his grandchildren, Garrett Gilliland, Carley Gilliland, Kasey Chapman, Andrew Pierce, McKenzie Pierce, Emily Pierce, Austin Pierce and Jack Pierce. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
