She is survived by: her daughters, Alexus Chavis and Chaitelle Chavis of Oxon Hill, MD; her siblings, Grace Ford James (Nathaniel) of Florence, SC, Erskine C. Fred, Sr. (Linda) of Florence, SC and Mareese Brown (Parolyn) of Ft. Washington, MD; her uncle Willie Johnson of Inkster, MI; and her close friend Celeste Mason. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
