He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmot Singleton Gilland and Selma Thorn Gilland. He is survived by: his children, Laura Faulling (Ralph) of Orangeburg, SC and Wilmot S. "Trey" Gilland, III (Nicole) of Edisto Beach, SC; and his grandchildren, Rachel Berry, Andrew Schoonover and Wilmot S. "Wil" Gilland, IV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
