He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude McGrew and Mittie Elizabeth Dew McGrew; his son William Fillers; and his siblings, Lester McGrew, Walter McGrew, Chester McGrew, Arvile McGrew, Hardy McGrew, Leroy McGrew, Claude McGrew, Elizabeth McGrew, Ada McGrew Dearman and Esther McGrew Boykin.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hickman McGrew of Walterboro; his children, Margaret McGrew Bottoms (Gary) of Fairfield, Jay McGrew (Yvonne) of Cottageville, Betty McGrew DeMarco (Corey) of Omaha, Donald Fillers, Jr. (Sandy) of Johns Island, John Fillers (Amy Leonard) of Walterboro and Angel Strength (Chris) of Ventura, California; his daughter-in-law Alberta Fillers of Walterboro; and his siblings, Tommy McGrew (Brenda) and Polly McGrew Green (Jerry). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; and 46 great grandchildren.
