Shirley Brown Obituary

We bid farewell to Shirley Brown of Walterboro, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 11, 2025 at the age of 76. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Lee Brown; her parents, Clayton Lamar Smoak, Sr. and Vergie Mae Jones Smoak; and her siblings, Edward Lamar Smoak, William Smoak, Clayton Smoak, Jr. and Kitty Jo Strickland.

She is survived by: her son Paul Allen McGahan (Penny); her sisters, Helen Priester (Wayne) and Sandra Walker; her grandchildren, Bethany Mackins (Ark) and Luke Pickering (Ashiel); her great grandchildren, Leisha Bryant, Addie-Marie Mackins and Jordan Mackins; and her pets, Dusty, Rusty and Lucky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel (1193 Bells Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
