He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Bennett and Ethel Craven Bennett; and his siblings, Thelma Dukes (Pete), Olin Bennett (Rita), Thomas Bennett (Margueritte) and John Bennett, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ellen Myers Bennett "Bobbie" (Bobbie) of Terre Haute, Indiana.; his children, Robin Bennett of Walterboro, Sonja Noskowiak (Chris) of East Tennessee, Chrissy Cook (Donnie), Richard Allen Bennett, Sr. of Walterboro, Roy Shayne Bennett (Leslie) of Walterboro and Tonda Bennett of Walterboro; and his grandchild Fifteen. He is also survived by Fifteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
