He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan Calhoun Smith, Jr. and Elizabeth "Libby" Beach Smith; his wife Peggy Jean Bullock Smith of Barnwell; and his former wife Paula Smith. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Smith Kennemore (Kris) of Charlotte and Keith Tanner Smith (Rachael) of Belton; the mother of his children Mary Ann Smith of Walterboro; and his uncle Jack Beach of Walterboro. He is also survived by many cousins; and a special niece.
