He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Magdalene Simpson; and his parents, Marvin Simpson and Thelma Simpson. He is survived by: his sons, Lewis Simpson (Tracey) of Florida and Edward Lee Simpson (Angela) of Walterboro. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
