He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Curtis Bunton and Jewel Hudson Bunton; and his siblings, Barbara Bunton Ward and James Curtis Bunton. He is survived by: his wife Karen Joan Bunton; his children, Carol Bunton Grant (Dave) of Meggett, Susan Bunton Haynes (Thomas) of South Bend and Randolph L. "Randy" Bunton, Jr. (Cindy) of Yonges Island; his siblings, Gene Bunton (Margaret) and Betty Breland of Denmark; his grandchildren, Heather Grant, Eric Bunton, Jami Bunton, Sarah Haynes and Avery Haynes; and his great grandchildren, David Chase and Halie Chase.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to: Sandy Dam United Methodist Church or the church's Cemetery Fund, care of Sheryl Hiott, 4916 Charleston Highway, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
