As we bid Peggy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Peggy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Velera Martin and Courtney Johnson; and her sister Patsy Hunt. She is survived by: her husband Rusty Hunt; her children, Jonathon Burris (Kimberly Burris), Heather Oliver, Courtney Harper (Nicole Linkous) and Kari O'Quinn (Casey O'Quinn); her grandchildren, Hayley LeMaster, Kynzli Bauerle and Piper Burris; and her sister Sue Gentry.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel (1193 Bells Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
