It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nita Beckett of Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on August 11, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John "Sonny" Beckett; her parents, Ralph Lee Benton and Marie Deery Crosby; and her stepchildren, Johnny Beckett and Tika Beckett Patterson.
She is survived by: her daughter Eileen Mohr; her son-in-law Mark Hunt of Lumberton; her stepsons, Joe Herndon and Pete Beckett of Walterboro; her grandchildren, Carolyn Copeland (Max), Bobby Allen Breland, Joseph Herndon, Jesse Herndon, Devany Beckett, Scott Beckett and Shannon Beckett; her great grandchildren, Ava Mohr, Abbygayle Mohr, Izabella Dean and Bailey Copeland; her stepfather Edwin "Shorty" Crosby; and her stepbrother Stanley Crosby. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
