She was predeceased by: her spouse Carroll E. Thomas; her parents, Lewis Hughes and Annie Williams Hughes; and her son Steve "Stevie" Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Janine Thomas Smoak (Michael) of Walterboro, Martha Ann Thomas Bell (Charlie) and Michael Eugene Thomas of Mewville; her daughter-in-law Jan Thomas; and her caregivers, Heather, Mary Middleton, Angie Taylor, Shirley Salley and Ann Jamison. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren.
