It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Myra Lightsey Kitchings of Walterboro, South Carolina, born in Estill, South Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Kitchings; her parents, Clifford Lightsey and Effie Phillips Lightsey; and her siblings, Otis Lightsey and Betty Long.
She is survived by: her daughters, Terri Stallings (Billy) of Jacksonboro and Connie Kitchings of Walterboro; her sister Frances Kinard of Barnwell; her granddaughters, Laura Lewis (Ryan) of Columbus, OH and Erica Moss (Hunter) of Walterboro; her great grandchildren, Ian Christlieb, Isabella Christlieb, Isla Lewis, Bennett Bazzle and Saylor Moss; and her caregivers, Heather Delong and Leslie Barwick. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
