He was predeceased by: his parents, Senis McTeer "Cy" Padgett and Lorene Givens Padgett. He is survived by: his significant other Susann H. Padgett; his children, Ashleigh Padgett Headley (Jonathan) and David Padgett (Ashley); his grandchildren, Mac, Wells, Beau Headley, Sanders and Ford Padgett; and his siblings, Fred M. Padgett (Nanci) and Nancy Spencer (Jim).

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Dogwood Hills Country Club (1 Dogwood Ln, Walterboro, SC 29488). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church (355 Hampton St, Walterboro, SC 29488). A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (3396 Hendersonville Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488).
