She was predeceased by: her parents, Manley Jim Stanley and Mattie Idell Sheppard Stanley; her daughter Beverly Coplen; and her siblings, Homer, Milton, Ralph, Carl Stanley, Marjorie Dropps and May Broadway.
She is survived by: her son David Wayne Smith (Melanie) of Walterboro; her grandchildren, Danielle Jacob (Andrew), Gabriel Smith, Savannah Jones, Sierrah Smith, Matthew Smith, Allason Pantano (Jon), Kelcey Cummings Seth Sturtevant (Josh) and Cody Rose; and her sisters, Frances Pendarvis, Altha Lake and Jeanette Stanley. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
