It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mamie Fryar (Walterboro, South Carolina), born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on March 19, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her mother Minister Melvina Jenkins Abraham of Branchville, SC; her husband Kenneth Fryar; her siblings, Williannette Abraham of Atlanta, GA, Patrice Abraham of Branchville, SC, Theodore "Bobby" Abraham (Gee Gee), Bernice Rivers of Cope, SC, Dr. Christine (Lenny), White of Prattville, AL, Gina (Roosevelt) and Gardner of Wyandanch, NY; her sisters-in-law, Sheldonia (Jerry), Henderson of Walterboro, SC, Beatrice (Howard), Bright of Ruffin, SC, Dian Fryar of Ruffin, SC, Dr. Leola Adams of Orangeburg, SC and Vonzola Adams (New Jersey); her great-aunt Frankie Lee Jones; her aunts and uncles, Mildred Yates (Mildred Martin) of Ruffin, SC, Bessie (Amos), Gourdine of St. Stephens, SC, Reverend Elonzo (Shirley), Reverend Wilbert (Princess), Davis of Branchville, SC, Heyward of Atlanta, GA, Calvin Grimes of Orangeburg, SC, Reverend W. D. (Orabell), Robert (Carolyn), Jenkins of Harrisburg, PA, Harvey (Ozine) and Reverend Roosevelt Gardner of Abbeville, AL; and her sister Behind. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, bonus sisters, bonus brothers, cousins and friends.
