She was predeceased by: her husband Harry R. Smith, Sr.; her parents, Johnnie Grimes and Katie Rooks Grimes; her sons, Nickie Dwain Smith and Tony Darrell Smith; and her brother Ervin Grimes.
She is survived by: her children, Harry R. Smith, Jr. (Jean) of Sandersville, Georgia and Melissa Smith Warren (Harold) of Smoaks; her grandchildren, Shawn Smith, Angie Smith, William Warren, Ryan Smith, Amanda Warren, Katie Warren and Jamie Hunt; and her close friend Hoyt Morris. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
In consideration of the extraordinary circumstances associated with the Coronavirus, the family will hold a private graveside funeral service for Mrs. Smith at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Walterboro.
