She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Eugene Byrd; her parents, Clint DeWitt and Myrtie Benton DeWitt; and her siblings, Hearl DeWitt of Hubert DeWitt, J. W, Mearl DeWitt, Pearl DeWitt and Nellie Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Eugene Byrd (Terry) of Walterboro and Karen Denise Byrd (Larry) of Ladson; her granddaughters, Christy Watkins (Phil) of Greer, Sarah "Sammie" Wessel (Hunter) of Arizona and Rebekah Sylvester of Ladson; and her great grandchildren, Xander Watkins, Zack Watkins, Zane Watkins, Rylan Byrd and Lily Sineath.
