He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Hughes; his daughters, Michelle Gooding, Melissa Hughes and Meggine Hughes; his siblings, Edward Hughes, Larry Hughes, Marie Baker and Miriam Newton; his extended family, Mendell Nettles and Alene Strickland; and his grandchildren, Russell Gooding, Jr., Taylor Gooding, Emma Thames and Ella Thames.
