He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Jolly Vinson; his parents, John Charles Vinson and Lillien Heit Vinson; his grandson Derek Long; and his brother Barry Vinson.

He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Neal Vinson, Jr. of Rock Hill, Dawn V. Rogers of Richburg and Jon Arbuckle of Arizona; and his siblings, Jeffery Vinson of Rock Hill and Janine Vinson of Rock Hill. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
