She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Frankie Benton and Lourie Roberts Benton; and her daughter Tammy Hiers. She is survived by: her husband James Junior Hiers; her children, Wendy Hiers Craven (Terry) and Jamie Hiers (Renee); her grandchildren, Taylor D. Sparks, Austin Sparks, Jamilynn Ayer (Aaron), Rylan Hiers, Tracey Craven Lane (Brandon) and Tiffany Craven; and her great grandchildren, Issac Ayer, Willow Ayer, Aiden Lane, Emily Lecroy and Madilyn Woods. She is also survived by the many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel (1193 Bells Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488).
