She was predeceased by: her husband Richard E. "Buddy" Carter; her parents, Harry O'Quinn and Jenny Phillips O'Quinn; and her granddaughter Madison Louise Rooney. She is survived by: her children, Richard Christopher Carter of Walterboro, Stephen Whitney Carter of Ladson and Jennifer Lee Carter Stone (Michael) of Walterboro; and her grandchildren, Jesse, Cole, Alex, Allison and Candace.
