He was predeceased by: his daughter Melissa Irene Spell; and his brother Gaston H. Beach, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Irene Bazzle Spell; his children, Angela Spell-Reimel (David), Johnny L. Spell, Jr. and David Baker (Tasha); his siblings, Roger Beach (Christy), David Beach (Deedee), Mona Spell, Angie Spell Tinkler (Larry), Denise Swede (Amr), Mike Spell (Beth), Marion Taylor (Carol), Cindy Shanks and Theodore Taylor; his grandchildren, Colton J. Reimel, Caleb Baker and Brooke Baker; and his stepmother Julie Spell.
