He is survived by: his wife Thelma Jeanette Bazzle Hoats; his daughters, Jody McAlhany (Jerry), Janice Garvin (Jamie) and Jon'Net Rahn (Keith); his grandchildren, Nichole Stanfield, Devin McAlhany, Danielle Davis, Karl Davis Jr. "Bubba", David Hiers Jr. and Jon William Hiers; his great grandchildren, Tyler Carter, Cole Stanfield and Morgan Stanfield; his great great grandchildren, Lane and Adalyn Carter; his sister Sandra Benton (I. M.); and his sister-in-law Marie Carter Hoats. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
