He is survived by: his parents, Joe Benjamin Butler, Sr. and Ruth Rizer (Johnny Nettles) of Walterboro; his brother Allen Butler (Suzanne) of Walterboro; his nieces and nephews, Allen, Anna Butler, Tucker Stanley and Bailee Stanley; and also Connie Hiers of Walterboro.
