He was predeceased by: his parents, James Duncan and Maggie Ruth Padgett Carroll; and his siblings, Thomas M. Carroll and Myra Carroll Gantt. He is survived by: his wife Irene Jones Carroll of Walterboro; his children, Sue Yin Carroll Hinson (Paul) of Walterboro, Cheryl Carroll Nielsen (Cliff) of Georgia and Thomas Floyd "Tommy" Carroll (Sandy) of Walterboro; his grandchildren, Meagan Chaplin Utsey (Ceth), Erin Nielsen Newton (Jerry), Austin Nielsen, Cody Carroll (Brittany) and Taylor Carroll; and his brother George Carroll (Virginia).
